Geonkhali
Geonkhali is a village and scenic tourist spot in the Mahishadal Block of East Midnapore district of West Bengal.
It is located at the confluence of the rivers Hooghly, Rupnarayan and Damodar a wonderful place which is a rare of the rarest places to visit in West Bengal. Geonkhali houses several water treatment plants that supply fresh water to Haldia where the water is saline.
You can enjoy the peaceful and serene atmosphere and enjoy the river sight in its full bloom. You can walk along the
river bank in the evening and enjoy the cool breeze and the beauty of the silver waves. Haldia Development Authority has opened 'Tribeni Sangam' tourist complex where I stayed for many times and I really liked this wonderful place.
